Your body is supposed to work like a machine. Calories in vs. calories out should ultimately determine if you lose weight or if you gain weight.
But….. what about the many people who can go on a diet, or start an exercise program and nothing happens? Their weight doesn’t budge, or moves a little bit briefly, and then abruptly stops. How is that possible?

What to do when every weight loss effort has failed
You have tried everything. Been on every diet and exercise program. Read every book. Been to a dietician and followed personal trainers. You watch Dr Oz even.
Yet despite your efforts nothing has worked. Sure, you got some results here and there, lost a few pounds, but gained them right back. Ultimately most people begin to feel hopeless at this point. And many give up altogether on living a healthy life at a healthy weight.
